ULTRASONIC CLEANING SOLUTIONS FOR REMOVING CONTAMINATION FROM PETROCHEMICAL AND REFINERY PROCESSES
Our ultrasonic cleaning offers significant benefits to customers in the oil and gas sector. Our powerful cavitation, combined with specialized chemicals, effectively removes heavy contaminants from production and process equipment. UltraTecno equipment efficiently eliminates all types of hydrocarbon and refinery-grade byproduct contamination from any surface.
UltraTecno has solutions for a wide variety of parts. For routine refinery maintenance, our ACM series ultrasonic cleaner is typically located in the plant’s maintenance workshop and is used daily to clean all types of metal components, including smaller heat exchangers, cleaning filters and extraction components, stack filters, valves, casings, and more.
During shutdown maintenance, the equipment can be used to clean large process components. One of the most common applications is cleaning scale from heat exchangers or as a filter cleaning system.
UltraTecno has developed a transportable, self-contained ultrasonic cleaning container: the HX – Heat Exchanger Cleaning Machine. It can be temporarily located at the customer’s site during maintenance shutdowns. This container is an ultrasonic cleaning unit, designed for outdoor use thanks to its self-contained power generation and weather-resistant construction. These features allow for the removal of large scale buildup on shell and tube heat exchangers, welded plates, finned tubes, and other heat transfer or heat exchange elements during refinery maintenance downtime.
Compared to the traditional high-pressure water blasting method used for heat exchanger maintenance, ultrasonic heat exchanger cleaning offers significant savings in water, labor, and energy.
For example, hydroblasting can use more than 20,000 liters of water per heat exchanger unit, and the used water must be treated. In contrast, with ultrasonic cleaning, the used water is contained in a tank and is only changed after cleaning several units. Ultrasonic cleaning does not damage surfaces like high-pressure jetting, thus reducing safety concerns compared to the latter. It is undoubtedly a very attractive alternative for cleaning filters of any size as a pre-maintenance step.
The HX range features a hydrocarbon separator for the proper management of waste generated during ultrasonic cleaning of the heat exchanger.
