Ultrasonic cleaning systems are based on high-frequency sonic waves, which are transmitted through a liquid in which the part to be cleaned is immersed.

The treatment lasts between 10 and 45 minutes and does not require operator presence.

Ideal for cleaning metals, ultrasonic waves produce cavitation, a phenomenon in which millions of tiny air bubbles are generated in the liquid and compressed until they implode, releasing large amounts of energy. This energy impacts the dirt, grease, or carbon deposits adhered to the surface of the objects being cleaned, removing them without damaging the piece and offering high resistance to corrosion, depending on the alloys.

The result is a micro-brushing that cleans the treated parts. Because the air bubbles are smaller than 1 µm, they penetrate even the smallest openings. Therefore, ultrasonic cleaning is the best system for highly complex components made of any type of material (cast iron, steel, aluminum, copper, bronze, titanium, some plastics and rubbers, etc.).

Temperature increases (80-90ºC) in a liquid medium raise the vapor pressure and facilitate bubble formation (cavitation). This results in greater cleaning energy.

FREQUENCY

Determine the size of the bubbles generated during cavitation. High levels of soiling require lower frequencies, with greater grinding power. High frequencies are used for finishing applications or cleaning delicate items (optics, jewelry).

Chemical Additives

Each application requires a customized chemical product and concentration level, based on factors such as operating temperature, type of soiling, cleaning time, and the material of the parts being treated. Ultrasound enhances the cleaning effect of the cleaning agents, reducing their consumption.
